Bulgaria: Castle in love with the wind

Modern architecture, especially “in the hands of” very enthusiastic people, is amazing. We have already written about the majestic temples built by our contemporaries in Thailand, which are not just not inferior to the best examples of ancient architecture, and often surpass them by many orders, for example, the “White Temple” or the symbol of unity Temple of Truth in Pattaya.

Castle in love with the wind
Our today’s story is about a modern architectural marvel born in Bulgaria, which bears the proud name “Castle in love with the wind”.

Himself an architect
Typically, such structures are built by famous architects who wish to thus leave the memory of themselves for centuries.

In Bulgarian Ravadinovo (district of Sozopol, near Burgas) everything is different. Formation of the castle began a former policeman Georgi Tumpalov with his sons. Not a single professional architect participated in the project, the former law enforcement officer himself thinks over and works through every element, every detail of the castle. It is an important fact that the whole construction goes at its own expense.

Today, as well as, for example, in the case of the Temple of Truth in Pattaya, the entrance fee is becoming increasingly important in financing for tourists who want to look at the construction process and thereby support the construction of the “Castle in Love with the Wind”.

Bulgaria from Novosibirsk 2016
It should be noted that the territory of the castle is not limited to the building itself. A pond about the size of the castle itself, as well as a garden with a small zoo, are also included in the “front” lands.

By the way, the cost of admission to the territory of the “Castle in love with the wind” in 2016 is only 8 Bulgarian levs.

“Castle in love with the wind” rated
Already, small private tourism companies have created an excursion product “Castle in love with the wind” and offer it on the Bulgarian tourist market, including for Russian tourists. Many of our compatriots have already taken the opportunity to admire this beauty and capture their memories in photos.

Castle in Bulgaria
But for the castle is still ahead. If you type in Google request “Castle in love with the wind,” then there will be only 102 thousand answers, which, of course, only says about the beginning of the full operation of this tourist attraction.

At the same time, respected rating agencies have already noticed “Castle in love with the wind” and appreciated it. So at the Italian competition A’design Award Competition in the nomination “Tourist attraction”, the castle immediately received a gold and silver medal, as the most promising tourist destination in Bulgaria.

This season you have a chance to see “Castle in love with the wind” with your own eyes.

The plans of Mr. Tumpalov to create in the castle a full-fledged spa resort. We have no doubt that he will succeed!

Travel company “World holiday” offers tours to Bulgaria with departures from Novosibirsk.
